SHIPPING INFORMATION, TRADING TERMS,  & CONDITIONS

Orders: Orders may be lodged from this site's Orders page, by e-mail, phone or mail. Orders can be collected from our nursery by arrangement.

Prices:  All prices quoted are fixed once we accept an order. Prices quoted include Tax (GST) unless otherwise stated.

Discounts: All quantity discounts quoted in our various catalogues or in this site will normally apply to each shipment however we invite those clients whose aggregate ordering per annum amounts to a substantial annual value to contact us so we can arrange a fixed quantity discount rate per order.

Minimum Order Value For Shipment: Due to the high cost of packing orders, preparing documentation and delivery pf parcels to the Post Office etc we are forced to introduce a minimum order value or charge a shipping fee per order as stated in our current catalogues.

Payment:  Payment is required before shipment of orders. Where there will be a delay in supplying flask orders we will issue a pro-forma invoice requesting payment when shipment is imminent.

If payment is made by cheque allow 7 days for clearance and a similar delay in shipment.

Postal Order payments are accepted,  however do not arrange payment until we instruct you to whom  payment should be made.  Our local post office has refused to cash them in the past if incorrectly completed .

Credit Card Payments:  Minimum Credit Card purchase accepted is $30.00.

Until 1st Jan 2003 Credit Card service providers prevented us from stating a price for cash sales and another for purchases on credit cards that included their handling fees. Those who paid by cash were subsidising those who use credit cards.

All prices we quote will now apply only to those who pay by cash, postal order or cheque.

We will continue to accept Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard credit cards however we are currently being charged a rate of 4.0% plus other charges for this service. As and when the fees we are charged varies the rate we charge too will be varied (we expect that will be downwards).

Shipment:

Seedling flasks: Unless we are requested to ship flasks intact we deflask the plants and ship them by express parcel post which ensures that they usually arrive less than 24 hours after deflasking. 

We have shipped plants deflasked to as far away as Japan without any problems.

Mericlones will be sold only on a deflasked basis unless we have a distributorship agreement in place.

Larger Plants:  Established plants are usually shipped "bare-root" by surface parcel post, if express post is preferred please state that on your order.

Warranties:  We guarantee that all stock is free of virus for 60 days from date stock is received and our liability is limited to be replacing with stock of equal value.

We take great care to remove any stock that may be infected with virus or other disease. Research has shown that virus has been found in seed from plants that have been pollinated with pollen from infected plants, so, before we cross-pollinate plants we check each for signs of virus. 

However some plants do not exhibit virus symptoms until they are stressed so in spite of our rigorous checking, it may not be noticed.

If any stock is found to be infected it is important that we be notified immediately so we can trace the source and check our stock.

Damage During Transit: Once we pass control to a carrier our responsibility ends. We can arrange insurance at the clients expense. All loss or damage claims must be directed to the carrier.

Substitution:  We do not substitute stock for unavailable items unless clients provide specific instructions and alternatives.

Shipping Days: 

We ship on Tuesdays to allow the maximum time for same week delivery. To do this we need orders in by the preceding Friday at the latest.

Order Form: Order facilities are provided within this site. You may provide the same details by fax, phone or mail. Until such time as electronic ordering is proved to be absolutely secure, we recommend that credit card details are provided by more secure means.

Confirmation of Orders: If an order cannot be supplied within 14 days we will provide a confirmation of your order detailing how we have recorded your order. This must be checked on arrival and any errors reported to us within 7 days otherwise our confirmation will replace your order.

Plant Descriptions:  All descriptions provided for seedlings are our estimates of the likely result. The results from seedlings can be highly variable therefore our estimates must be taken as a guide only.

Price Variations: All prices may change without prior notice. Once an order is lodged the prices applicable at the time the order was received shall be fixed.

Variation of Offers:  We reserve the right to vary prices and discounts at any time and to withdraw any item from sale. All stock is offered on the basis that we may not have sufficient stock to complete all orders.

Growth rate of plants in flask are regulated by genetic factors as well as local weather conditions, order volumes and a constant supply of electricity therefore we cannot guarantee precise delivery times.
